Edotora means here now, which refers to the space in which the moment to moment interaction between client and clinician takes place. This shared space has an important role in the way therapy is thought at Edotora.
Interactive Therapy
The interaction between you and your client stands on the forefront within Edotora. This interaction is like a dance. In a dance you’re anticipating the movements of your dance partner, from moment to moment. You’ll make a move, your partner makes a move, then you again, then your partner again, etc. This way a movement originates in which you both participate. So too does it happen in therapy. Your client says or does something and you’ll anticipate on that, your client reacts, you’ll anticipate on that, and so forth. This therapeutic dance forms the core of Process Based Hypnotherapy. Within the 3-year program you’ll learn how to shape this therapeutic movement, from moment to moment, to benefit the client’s therapeutic process.

How we relate to ourselves and others is based on language. In understanding the power of language, with the help of the latest scientific findings, you’re able to analyze a clients’ behavior. This is a dynamic way of analyzing which is suited to analyze the interactive dynamic of the client’s behavior.

Theory and Experience
Process Based Hypnotherapy is about changing behaviour. Behaving is experiencing. That’s why you’ll be learning theories and methods trough your own experiences (experiential learning). The theory within the 4-year program is based on the latest scientific breakthroughs within behavioural science. The theory provides a way to make a moment to moment functional analysis of your client’s behaviour, which can help you in understanding why your clients are behaving and experiencing the way they do. The intertwining of theory and your own experience makes it possible to connect with your clients from a place of experiential understanding how it must be to live their lives. Your functional analysis and your experiential understanding can guide you in determining what your next step could be in the therapeutic process of your clients.
